Common mesh errors that stop a slicer from generating a clean toolpath.
Edges shared by more than two faces, or bowtie vertices, often fail mesh checks. Repair splits and welds topology so most slicers can generate a valid toolpath.
Missing faces leave boundary loops. Hole filling closes small-to-medium gaps with new triangles so the mesh can become watertight.
Inverted winding shows up as dark patches and inside-out shells. The fixer orients faces using signed volume so the exterior points outward.
Zero-area triangles, stacked faces, and coincident vertices are removed or welded so the remaining mesh is cleaner for slicing.

What to expect from a conservative browser repair — and when to use a heavier tool.
Welding vertices and removing degenerate faces does not reshape the model. Hole filling adds the minimum faces needed to close a loop. Preview the result before printing if the original mesh had large missing regions.
This tool is a local topology fixer, similar in spirit to JustFixSTL. It does not rebuild the sculpture with AI the way Meshy’s cloud repair does, and it does not queue files on a remote server like Formware.
